5 Fabulous Cocktails To Enjoy In Our Crazy Colored Glasses!

Who ever knew that the timeless style of crystal glass could meet with the vibrant, playful colors of our Crazy glassware collection? To celebrate, we’ve put together a list of 5 cocktail recipes that are as surprising as they are delicious. Because things aren’t always what you’d expect! Let’s change things up a little. 

Red and Pink

This delightful bourbon cocktail with a fizz combines the zest of fresh red grapefruit juice with the sweet tartness of grenadine. The base of this healthy cocktail is red rooibos tea, known for its powerful antioxidant properties. 

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup brewed red rooibos tea
  • 3 tablespoons bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh red grapefruit juice
  • 1 ½ teaspoons grenadine
  • 1 tablespoon soda water

  • Step 1

    Pour the brewed tea into an ice cube tray to create 3 to 5 small ice cubes. Freeze. 

    Step 2

    Combine the bourbon, juice, and grenadine in a cocktail glass and stir well. Add soda water then stir. Add the tea ice cubes, and serve immediately.

    Pomegranate Cosmopolitan

    This is a wonderfully fruity cocktail, combining the rich flavors and aromas of orange, pomegranate and lime. And it’s ever so simple to put together! 

    Ingredients:

  • 1 oz orange liqueur
  • 1 oz pomegranate vodka
  • 1 lime
  • Step 1

    Combine all in a shaker filled with ice. Shake thoroughly. 

    Step 2

    Strain into one of our colorful Crazy glasses. Garnish with lime or pomegranate seeds. 

    Jalapeno Grapefruit Margarita

    This cocktail is both sweet and spicy, a fresh take on the traditional margarita recipe. The zest of grapefruit with tequila and the spiciness of fresh jalapenos make for a wonderful trio!

    Ingredients (serves 4 - 6):

  • 1 and ½ cups tequila
  • 2 cups grapefruit juice
  • ¾ cups fresh lime juice
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 – 2 whole jalapenos, sliced
  • Lime and grapefruit slices for garnish
  • Granulated sugar and fresh cracked pepper for rimming glasses
  • Step 1

    Combine sugar and pepper in a shallow plate, to be used later to rim the glasses.

    Step 2

    Combine all ingredients in a pitcher, stir well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours, checking occasionally for spice level. Remove the jalapenos once you have it as spicy as you like it. 

    Step 3

    When ready to serve, rim your Crazy glasses in the pepper and sugar mixture. Add ice cubes to each glass, and pour the margaritas over the ice. Add wedges of grapefruit or lime as well as sliced jalapenos for garnish. 

    Carrot Citrus Crush

    This refreshing cocktail combines the vitamin C power of citrus fruits and carrot. The combination makes for a sweet delight with a hint of earthiness. This drink can brighten any winter day!

    Ingredients (serves 2):

    • 2 teaspoons carrot top leaves
    • 1 (2 inch) blood orange rind strip
    • ½ cup carrot juice
    • 1/3 cup fresh blood orange juice
    • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
    • 2 ounces vodka
    • 1 ounce triple sec (orange flavored liqueur)

    Step 1

    Muddle 2 teaspoons of carrot top leaves and 1 blood orange rind strip in a cocktail shaker using the handle of a wooden spoon. 

    Step 2

    Add 100% carrot juice, fresh blood orange juice, fresh lime juice, vodka, triple sec, and a handful of ice cubes to the shaker. Shake well for 15 seconds.

    Step 3

    Pour mixture through strainer into 2 ice-filled glasses. Garnish with a slice of blood orange and carrot top leaves. 

    Apricot Whisky Sour

    This cocktail changes up the classic whisky sour with the delicious sweetness of peaches and the zest of lemon juice. 

    Ingredients:

    • 2 oz whiskey
    • 1 oz apricot preserves 
    • ½ oz lemon juice
    • Apricot slices

    Step 1

    Combine the apricot preserves, whisky and lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Shake. 

    Step 2

    Pour cocktail over ice. Garnish with an apricot slice.
